Silvia and Umberto, Maru and Lucio: we are nomads of the world, with the land in our hearts.
A family separated by an ocean but united by a passion for wine and the desire for a new adventure. For us, Poderi Tesio is much more than just a winery: it is a family dream that turned into reality.
Each member of the group brings a unique contribution to the project. Different experiences, a passion for travel and a spirit that is always open to new things have shaped our approach to life, which we hope to convey with our wines.
Silvia
The meticulous director
A problem-solver by birth with a background in the legal field, Silvia is the voice of reason within the group. Curious, always looking for new stimuli, but with an all-Piedmontese understatement, she becomes a declared perfectionist, when necessary, always with the aim of making every project a success. She is the first to examine even the smallest clauses, but also the first to raise the glass when a project takes flight. A lover of nature, she has found her place of the heart among the hills and vineyards of Monferrato.
Umberto
The ambitious nostalgic
Torn between professional ambition and visceral recall of peasant roots, Umberto dreams of giving wings to the Savoy tradition and making it known to the world.The family farmhouse and the stories he heard as a child prompted him to rediscover the countryside as an escape route and as an opportunity. He wants to produce iconic wines, but his real superpower is getting everyone on board with his ideas.
Maru
The romantic (almost teetotaler)
A university professor in Buenos Aires, in love with Italy and the Negroni, Maru divides her time between Argentina and Monferrato. She follows each project with an almost obsessive care for organization and effectiveness, but she knows how to be easily moved by a sunset in the vineyards or a well-told bottle. Although wine is not her first love, she accepted this adventure with enthusiasm, driven by her father's dream of returning to his native country. Nature is her refuge, passion her engine.
Lucio
The free spirit
With one foot in the tech world and the other in the vineyards, Lucio embodies the most adventurous spirit of the group. Thanks to his agricultural interests in the Argentine pampas, he is the one most akin to the wine world in terms of experience, without ever giving up his passion for innovation and technology. A lover of nature and challenges, he sees in the Poderi Tesio project a new frontier to explore. With enthusiasm and determination, he is ready to leave Argentina to follow Maru and embrace this new adventure in the hills of Monferrato.
